We spent a few days where Tuscany, Lazio and Umbria meet. Based from a Castello in Proceno, we visited the Umbrian town of Orvieto and the hilltop town of Civita di Bagnoregio, which is quite literally on a hilltop. The region is most famous for its Orvieto wines but makes some excellent reds as well.
